State of Play June 2022: everything announced during the PlayStation showcase
Sony’s latest State of Play event focused on third-party titles and PSVR 2 games
Sony’s State of Play June 2022 event promised to showcase a variety of new PS5 games from third-party publishers — and that’s exactly what we got. We also saw four PSVR 2 games, though sadly the headset itself wasn’t shown, nor did we get a price or pre-order date.
As predicted, the likes of God of War: Ragnarok and the long-rumored The Last of Us remake were a no-show. Sony did say that the June 2 event would include “exciting reveals from our third-party partners,” and it held true to its word.

The State of Play event lasted for almost 30 minutes, and we saw a strong lineup of titles for PS5 and PS4. Here’s a quick recap of what was shown.

Sony also revealed that more PS5 games are making their way to PC, starting with Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Sony has changed its strategy when it comes to releasing exclusive games on PC in recent years, with Days Gone, Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn, and God of War all now available on PC. It’s likely we’ll see even more titles come to PC in the future, as Sony looks to cash in on a lucrative market. 💰
