I'm back and forth with either buying (85 inch versions) of the Sony X90L, the B7, or the Samsung QN90. I was leaning to the X90L, but have now read a ton of horror stories about the screen being broken during delivery or sometime afterward. Any thoughts regarding which one. Is the Mini-Leds worth the increase in price over the X90L?

Oh 100% The Mini LED makes the Bravia 7 a much better screen and it has a better interface too (also better than the Samsung QN90D imho). The price increase won't hit as hard when Black Friday deals start this/next week. Check out our review of the Samsung QN90D too : D

Your review is spot on !! I owned a Samsung q90c before this and the Sony is far superior except for the viewing angles .

I bought a 65in. samsung qn90c in Oct. because the price was good. It was good until it updated to the 2011 update which ruined 3 of my smart hub apps and caused light bleed from the bottom and much more blooming when opening apps. It looked ok in sdr and some apps but sometimes too dark in hdr, some shows like Cross are too dark to watch, changing the mode doesn't help. The qn90c looks good 70% of the time and sound is excellent.

I am exchanging it for a 65 in. Sony bravia 7, I have 2 Samsung tvs , the s90c and the Q90T from 2020 that are great tvs but I always wanted a Sony with Dolby Vision and the qn 90c is a big disappointment because of the Tizen OS 2011 update.
