Could you please confirm if you enabled all the health features such as continuous heart rate monitoring, continuous stress tracking, and sleep tracking during your review? Additionally, was the Always-on display feature activated?

Hi Abraham. Welcome to The Shortcut newsletter. I did enable all of these functions on the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra in the Samsung Health app – HR monitoring, stress tracking and sleep tracking. I had to go through a lot of permissions pop-ups, which I found a bit annoying (and some things are easy to miss, including the sleep apnea detection, which is in another app called Health Monitoring). The always-on display was on by default.

Workouts using the GPS do tax the battery, but I'm still able to get a day-and-a-half with daily activity tracked. Back-to-back-to-back fitness tracking using the GPS will drain it in a day. I hope that helps. Thanks for subscribing and using our affiliate links if you choose to buy.

Matt, would you please confirm Qi charging will not work?

I contacted Samsung via chat last week to inquire whether my existing Samsung Qi charger, model EP-P5400, is compatible with the Ultra. I was told, YES, it will work.
