The PS Plus free games for October 2022 have been revealed, and it’s fair to say it’s a mixed collection of titles.
PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium members can download Hot Wheels Unleashed for PS5/PS4, Injustice 2 for PS4, and Superhot for PS4 from October 4 until October 31.
We’re still waiting to find out which new games will come to PS Plus Extra and Premium game catalog, but Sony has promised to share more information soon. Here’s the full PlayStation Plus Premium games list.
It’s a timely reminder to download the current free PS Plus games, which include Need for Speed Heat, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and Toem. They’ll leave the service on October 3, so don’t hang around if you haven’t nabbed them already.

Hot Wheels Unleashed | PS4, PS5
Hot Wheels Unleashed brings the popular toys to life as you’ve never seen before. Race through across inventive tracks using the series’ iconic orange roads and round more than a few loop-de-loops.
Hot Wheels Unleashed includes a track builder so you can build your own perilous courses, split-screen and online multiplayer, and interactive environments. The game scored a solid 75 on Metacritic when it was released back in September 2021.
Injustice 2 | PS4
From the creators of Mortal Kombat, pit iconic characters from the DC universe against each other in this brutal beat ‘em up. Experience an epic story mode, an ever-changing Multiverse, and a fully-fledged online multiplayer component.
Injustice 2 was extremely well-received by critics when it launched in May 2017 and has a Metacritic score of 87.
Superhot | PS4
Superhot is an innovative first-person shooter with a unique mechanic — time moves only when you move. You’ll need to shoot, slice, and dodge a hurricane of slow-motion bullets as you try to outgun your way out of impossible odds.
Superhot is another title that went down well with critics, achieving a score of 84 on Metacritic.
