Nvidia RTX 4090 not enough for you? This leaked Nvidia GPU might be for you
Leaked Nvidia RTX Titan would have been a monster GPU

🦾 RTX Titan based on the same GPU as RTX 4090 leaked
🚫 It’s likely that the RTX Titan has been shelved and will never launch
⚡ Supposedly used two of the controversial 16-pin power connectors
💵 Would be ludicrously expensive
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 has been out for a couple of months now, but it looks like Nvidia wasn’t done pushing the boundaries of what its Ada Lovelace GPUs can do.
Apparently Team Green was working on a new RTX Titan graphics card built on the same AD102 GPU as the RTX 4090, according to some leaked documents sent to tech YouTuber Moore’s Law is Dead. This would have been a massive four-slot graphics card with two of the controversial 16-pin power connectors found on the RTX 4080 and 4090. But, it seems that the would-be best GPU will forever be a what if.
The same leaked documents suggest that the Ada Titan graphics card was shelved by Nvidia, due to it having some significant problems with thermals, up to and including melting the PCB (printed circuit board) itself. That’s not super surprising, as with two 16-pin power connectors, this graphics card would be capable of sucking in 750W of juice – a lot of electricity for a single computer part.
It’s probably a good thing that this GPU will likely never see the light of day. A graphics card of this scale would be extremely expensive. We’re talking around $3,000, and that’s being conservative. The last RTX Titan graphics card launched alongside the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti, and that was $2,499. That was at a time when Nvidia’s top-end consumer GPU was only $999.
These days, new graphics cards are going to be significantly more expensive. But because it likely won’t ever see the light of day, it really doesn’t matter. Not even the best gaming PC in the world will have one of these bad boys in it.
Who would the Nvidia RTX Titan even be for?
To be clear, even if this Nvidia graphics card did actually see the light of day, it really wouldn’t be meant for PC gamers like you and me. Instead, Nvidia has always insisted that its Titan cards are for prosumer users like video editors, who need the extra horsepower for creative apps, but couldn’t justify the transition to a more expensive Nvidia Quadro card.
Still, Nvidia RTX Titan cards have always been popular with PC gamers that like to show off, and it’s likely that would be the case with an Ada Titan graphics card. But because it’s also supposedly built on the AD102 GPU, it probably wouldn’t be that much faster than an RTX 4090, especially if you’re comfortable with overclocking.
Any PC gamers that may have been salivating over this potential Titan, then, should probably just get an RTX 4090 – if they can find one. It’s going to be better for the best PC games, at least from a value perspective. But, then again, the RTX 4090 is a better value than the RTX 4080, so who knows what would happen at this point?"
