Nvidia has announced the next titles to receive DLSS 5, its 3D-guided neural rendering tech, and also a new model that’s 2x faster than before.
Hogwarts Legacy will get DLSS 5 on November 5, 2026, which Nvidia says “elevates image quality, realism and immersion to new heights” in a new blog post,. Where Winds Meet will also receive the new tech in the future.
Nvidia revealed that a more performant DLSS 5 model is coming to NBA 2K27 on October 16, boosting frame rates by up to 1.4x. It’ll become the new default for future DLSS 5 games like Hogwarts Legacy.
Nvidia highlighted that DLSS 5 is now 10x faster overall compared to when it was first announced in March, where it required a pair of RTX 5090 GPUs to run.
Along with a boost to DLSS 5, Nvidia’s frame generation is also getting an upgrade. Preset C is a new performance mode that replaces one of the AI models with a faster and lighter algorithm to boost frame rates for DLSS Frame Generation, Multi Frame Generation, and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, with minor trade-offs in image quality. On a GeForce RTX 5060, the new performance mode for Frame Generation is up to 35% faster.
You can try preset C today by installing the newest Nvidia app update and opting in to the beta and experimental features.
Finally, DLSS 5 is coming to RTX Remix on October 23, giving modders even more options and tools for remastering classic games. It means RTX Remix titles like Fallout 4 and Mirror’s Edge will be able to benefit from the technology, if a modder desires.
