McDonald's gaming chair is as depressing as it sounds
The McDonald's gaming chair features a place to hold your fries, drink, two dips, and more. And I'm not lovin' it
➡️ The Shortcut Skinny: Maccy D’s gaming chair
🍟 McDonald’s has made a gaming chair called the McCrispy Ultimate
🍔 It’s equipped to hold all your fast food and even comes with stain-proof leather
🥤 The McDonald’s gaming chair can be won through a Facebook competition
🍗 Only four chairs are being made, which is definitely a good thing
McDonald’s gaming chair – dubbed the McCrispy – makes me want to put on a VR headset that has the power to end it all. Wait… that’s actually a thing.
The house of Ronald McDonald has thrown its stale burger buns into the world of gaming chairs and produced what can only be described as a one-way ticket to personal shame and chronic back problems.
The McCrispy gaming chair comes with a fries holder, a drink holder, two dip holders, and a hot box to keep your McCrispy warm while gaming. You can even switch which side your McCrispy rests on thanks to the chair’s modular armrests.
We all know McDonald’s arrives lukewarm at best, so the hot box should at least keep your burger at a middling heat level when you’re playing games alone in your mom’s basement.
McDonald’s has built the chair to include a napkin holder and two reusable napkins so you can wipe the sauce off your grubby fingers while you shout abuse at other players in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 lobbies.
What’s more, the chair is upholstered with a stain-proof leather treatment, so your yellow and black throne is protected from any mishaps. And by protected, I mean it’ll stink of BBQ sauce and become a breeding ground for germs to cultivate.
The Maccy D’s abomination was first spotted by Louise Blain on Twitter (thanks, PC Gamer), who shared the man-made horror with the world. Perhaps mercifully, the McCrispy can only be won by entering the fast food chain’s official Facebook competition and won’t go on sale. It seems like the competition is only available in the UK, too, which makes sense considering you can buy Greggs-branded clothes from Primark here.
Only four McDonald’s McCrispy Ultimate gaming chairs are being made, so expect to see a well-known Instagram model, YouTuber or Twitch streamer magically win one. I highly doubt McDonald’s would want 56-year-old Melanie from the Wirral to win. Or maybe I’m just being cynical.
This isn’t McDonald’s first foray into gaming. The company once made a McDonald’s-themed PS5 DualSense Controller but failed to inform Sony it was doing so.
The McDonald’s gaming chair also doesn’t come close to the Colonel Sanders’ KFConsole, which promised to deliver a high-end PC and keep your fried chicken warm in the process. Sadly the console has never been discussed since its announcement, meaning it’s probably on ice – just like McDonald’s McRibs.
