📅 GTA 6 pre-loading starts on November 10 ahead of its November 19 release
😬 The game requires up to 212 GB of storage space on your device
🆓 Rockstar is offering free printable cover art and map downloads on launch day
🔜 The game launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with a PC release expected in early 2027
We already know that GTA 6 is digital-only, with physical copies including a code in the box instead of a disc. However, those who pre-order the game digitally or even get hold of a physical copy early can download the game so it’s ready to play on release day, November 19.
GTA 6’s pre-load date begins on November 10, which should give players plenty of time to download the game. As we reported earlier, the pre-load file will require up to 212 GB depending on your device, which is a quarter of the PS5’s SSD.
Rockstar also announced some physical goodies, if you have a printer to hand. On November 19, an official printable Grand Theft Auto VI cover art poster and map of Leonida will be available as a free download from the official site.
A double-sided physical version of the poster will also be made available shortly after for $0.99 on its own or as a free gift with any purchase from the Rockstar Store.
GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026, for PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. A PC version is widely predicted to release early in 2027, along with the game’s online component, GTA 6 Online.
Grand Theft Auto IV is slated to be the biggest video game release of all time, though Rockstar hasn’t shared any pre-order numbers. After a decade of waiting for a sequel to GTA 5, the time is almost here.
Up next: PS5 Pro restock: it’s available again, but you’re paying more than you should
