Best Buy Black Friday deals won’t let you down when it comes to electronics discounts: you’ll find TV sales, laptop at their best prices, and other dramatic price cuts around this time of year that are sometimes the stuff of legend. Even better, unlike certain other outlets, the US retailer tends to offer deals on genuine big name brands that don’t get lost in heaps of unpronounceable brand names of questionable quality.
Best Buy’s Black Friday deals have already begun, and I’m sorting through them to pull up the best deals of the season. If it’s here, it’s worth buying, in other words.

Sony 55-inch Bravia XR A80J OLED TV

The Sony Bravia XR A80J, currently available for an all-time low of $999, was one of the other big consumer TV, beside Sony’s own A90J and the LG C1, that launched after the 2021 CES, and like the Hisense dual-cell, also one I reviewed for Gizmodo. It received wide praise when it got in reviewers hands, receiving a 8.8 overall score at Rtings. PS5 restock and Xbox Series X restock seekers can expect smooth, screen-tear-free 120Hz gaming through one of the TV’s two HDMI 2.1 ports. Because it only has two such ports, however, I’m keeping this TV in the movie section, particularly because of the excellent image processing offered by the TV, as well as realistic colors and excellent contrast.

Samsung’s artsy The Frame QLED TV, which is at its lowest price ever at $1,999 right now, has improved a lot over the years, going from a somewhat gimmicky middling panel when it was introduced in 2017 to actually a pretty great-looking quantum dot LED-backlit TV. It’s not only nice-looking when flat-mounted on a wall, but it uses a matte finish to display realistic-looking artwork, allowing it to blend in naturally with your decor.
It lacks local dimming and doesn’t have the best HDR peak brightness performance, but it’s nevertheless got a solid high-contrast 120Hz panel and support for gamer features like variable refresh rate, making a nice general purpose TV. It’s not quite the savings listed on Best Buy’s website – while it did briefly raise to $1,599 in October of this year, it normally sits at $1,299, and I don’t see this price in its history, making $1,099 the best deal yet on this app-connected machine. Automatic incline, heart rate tracking, built-in speakers with a 3.5mm audio jack for playing music while you work out and a free 1-year trial membership of the integrated workout service JRNY all make this a nicely-featured treadmill, especially at this price.
